Default Slight hesitation about 4K RPM after Amsoil NanoFiber drop in?

After driving car for 20min or so today (waiting for oil to heat up), I was a little spirited 10-50mph @ 5K RPM. From 4-5K the engine seemed to stutter VERY slightly....almost like it wasn't getting enough air/gas? The peddle was not to the floor.

Any ideas? Thanks guys!

^ No, it's nano fiber paper.

Know someone who just switched to this filter and started to ping.
It was suggested for that member to reset his ECU to learn the new air flow being supplied and ECU will adjust off the bat, rather than learn new flow over time.

The same may be OP's case. Try a ECU reset and let it compensate/learn the new air flow immediately and see if sutter goes away after that.

If it continues pinging or hesitating, I would definitely get a dyno. $30ish and it will diagnose any power cutting out easily. See what's going on with your AFR... don't get a dyno without AFR.

^ Agree...AFR's with Dynos go hand in hand.

Thanks for the responses. Really think it could be from a air filter? That's amazing...

Almost makes me want to switch back!?! Are the Z's that sensitive to adjustments?

Could this be a sign of something more serious?

if you have never cleaned your MAF sensor i would suggest you try that. pull it out ( secure bit is needed) and spray it with MAF sensor cleaner. also clean your throttle body. and then do idle air learning procedure found here http://www.technosquareinc.com/350reset.htm
