well i think i am prettty close to the end of adding anymore mods to the Z. just thought what all you experts think. pretty good setup i went with? or do you guys think theres some setbacks?

list of mods:
MD 5/16th plenum spacer
Injen CAI
Titek test pipes
Intensepower Y-pipe
JIC spartan DE exhaust
AMS lightweight pulley set

also just ordered the 4.08 gears and nismo lsd this last week hopefully will be getting it on the end of the week.

but so far so good i guess. i love how the car is running. just really need a good tune now. what do you guys think?

so you think you are done? you are not done. the car will not allow it.

but the list .. I would drop the AMS pullies and Injen intake. the exhaust is gonna be super loud I bet as well. I would also add some suspension wheels and tires.

they are the big money though

There have been many people who have sucked up water with their CAI and blew their motors. You can pick up a pop charger for half the cost, little more power and you won't have to worry about driving in heavy rain or driving through puddles. The choice is obvious, get a pop charger.

And the pullies are just a waste of money.

I don't know about 'many' people sucking up water... if any. the Z's intake tract is pretty long, and uphill. I just prefer short ram intakes over 'CAI' ones.

and pullies are a waste of money, that's all. right there is 300 bucks that could go to something better, like a finned rear diff cover or stainless lines and new pads for your brakes or a lightweight flywheel.

the Nismo LSD is awesome, and those 4.0 gears are insane! you are gonna be revving at what, 3500rpms at 60 in 6th now? (not really sure)

80 miles an hour is 3400 RPM on my tach with 285/35r19 rear tires.

I agree. Perhaps UTEC would use all that air properly.

No. I guess its always a concern with CAIs but not really in the Z design. Unless you're driving through 2 feet of water (in which case you have other problems) I dont think you gotta worry about that.

yea i was 50/50 on getting headers.. was hearing headers on the vq dont do much for the cost and labor of putting them on.. but as i stated after my diff and gears come in, i am kicking back on modding as of right now due to personal reasons..just wanted to hear the communities opinions on any drawbacks of my setup.. tnx for everyones input.
