Default My NA Build -Projected

Hey everybody. I'm excited for the new subforum!

K, so I wanted to build a fast NA car and this is what I have come up with.

So far I have:
Nismo Cold Air Intake
Performance Grounding Kit
HKS Hi Power Exhaust
Helix SS Test Pipes

and the future holds:
Unorthodox Pulley Set
Power Labs 3/8ths inch plenum spacer
Nismo Headers
KOYO Radiator (much larger)
UTEC and a tune
Race grade spark plugs

My goal is 275 rwhp.
When I had my car dynoed last month with just the intake on it, I got 230 rwhp...I feel that with the Exhaust and Test Pipes I should get just above 240...so <35 hp seems manageable. Let me know wh'at you think please.

Danny

First thread created in the NA Builds sub-forum and it fails..

That's not a build. What you have is just a bunch of bolt-ons. Did you read my sticky thread? Read the rules and guildelines before posting next time, please.

Moved to the regular Engine & Drivetrain forum.

Just the first drop of the flood that is to come.

Is it too early for those of us who dissented to say "I told you so" ?

I was hopping just to get some input on cams from this thread...

OP - I'm sure you've realized from the responses... that's not quite a "build"...

A bunch of worthless bolt ons and an exhaust isn't considered a build. I like your enthusiasm though!

This is one of the reasons y I voted no on the na forum poll. But if the mods are willing to monitor it then gr8.

Clearly, the op and hopefully the rest of the community knows this is not considered a "build" suitable for the na subforum.

BUT, what if the op posted the same thing, with the addition of aftermarket camshafts? Would that now be considered a "build"

I would say no, but I have a feeling others would say yes. This is a problem I foresee with the na subforum.

the reason I was looking for cam info is that during a build you would install aftermarket cams... only installing cams would not be a "build" just part of it... I only wanted that part - as I am considering getting cams...

Anyway, the forums work fine IMO - I just think the OP used the wrong term... “first mods” would have been suitable - however everyone would be barking the "search" words.

all that and the UTEC should yield 275 with a good tune. good luck OP. these guys dont consider it a build unless youre running like...a higher compression ratio, cams, port/polish, this that, the other...yanno.

lol @ OP

I still wish that there was more overall dedication towards n/a on this site, and in general. The VQ should be putting down some serious n/a numbers with disgusting powerbands.
