Default 2 Way Differential

Any reason not to go with a 2 way differential for a car that sees street use?

My cusco MZ LSD is set at 2 way, 100% lock.. I don't have any problem driving with it every day.

yes....worse turning radius, worse turn in response, easier to hang the tail out. It's the worst way to set a diff up for street use, as well as most track use. 1.5 way is the correct setup for such situations

leeboy - there is a not so fine line between "its fine for everyday" vs "it's setup to be the best it can be for my situations". Your car would be FAR more responsive, the diff would be much smoother, and handle significantly better (especially during corner entry/exit) with the diff set to 60% lock and 1.5 way

1.5 FTW!!!!!! 100% lock is pretty rowdy for every day driving...

I thought I would hate it too, but I have no problem with the turning radius and it's very predictable.. I love it. It does pop and makes tire chirping noises..but it doesn't bother me. I originally opt for 2way 60% lock, but my mechanic just installed it with 2 way 100% lock setup. Hmm... Maybe my mechanic did something crazy and he is not telling me???? My mechanic is kind of a N@zi... He doesn't tell me things... He just tells me to drive it... He builds race cars BTW...

agreed... same with welded diff. popping, but predictable...

I make tight hard turns quick and easily.

it's the slow hard turns that you feel a difference on.

I'll be putting to test in time attack shortly though

I have mine at 1.5 and 80% and it is a little rowdy but livable. I would recommend 1.5 and 60%. I am going to change mine to 60% soon.

It's not bad. There are a few pops and bangs when you pull into a parking space.
