Yeah I think the ECU is pretty restrictive with the throttle... after doing research upgrading the valve body, final drive ratio/diff, and ECU reflash will help a lot. I plan on doing this stuff myself once I get into some money...

I bet you if they observed TPS voltage directly (instead of the via the data port) they would see that the throttle stays at 100% open and doesn't budge as long as the pedal is pinned. This has already been proven over on maxima.org.
