Default Oil consumption test today!

So I went into the local Nissan dealership today for an oil change and I brought about the issue of oil consumption with the service clerk. I told him I was worried about my car buring too much oil, enough to where the valves are tapping louder than when its topped off with oil. He told me they would perform the test - from what I hear this test is to be performed over matter of time(a few weeks). A few hours roll by, the oil change is completed and the "oil consumption test" is completed. I almost laughed when the clerk told me that I had nothing to worry about, a "nationally certified Nissan technician" performed the test on my vehicle and it came back negative. He gave me a receipt showing they performed an oil conumption test as well as the oil change. I left feeling very skeptical as to accuracy of my "negative" results. What should I do? Any advice? thanks
matt

Every test i know of is 1000 miles. Print out the TSB and take it in to them.

If your car is using oil, demand they do a consumption test. If they refuse, get a lawyer.

The dealer can charge you for a consumption test since you are using their time. Most don't since the results might get them additional work.
Remember your warranty is with Nissan Corp not any dealer

The test is for a period of miles, not a period of fixed time. What model car do you have? Year?

They are supposed to change the oil and filter, then "seal" the engine fill cap, drain plug and dipstick.

If you're really concerned with it, ask to see the oil level before they seal it up just to verify that it's exactly at the "H" mark. Once you come back, check the oil level with the tech to see where the oil level sits. Be sure to have the car sit for at least half an hour before attempting to make your measurement.
