Whine / Honking sound

Whine / Honking sound
Well i am kind of concerned about a sound that im hearing from the front of my car when im driving it when its cold.
Usually after its been sitting all night and day then i go out warm it up for a bit then when i start to drive it there is a whine kind of a honking sound coming from the engine for about a minute till i have been on the road for a bit.
The sound gets louder with speed, i know im kind of vague on my description , but im a new owner and its kind of concerning me. Any help or ideas would be much appreciated, thanks.
Its a 2006 6spd Enthusiast.

hmmm... i was just searching and found this. cuz ive got a whine sound in 4th gear. i also have an 06 enthusiast.
it sounds like when yer window is cracked like 1mm, any other gear is SILENT. ive got 28k miles on mine.
