Default COLDER COLDER got to get COLDER!!!

I CAN NOT keep my VQ cool when I'm at drifting events. I hope you guys can help me decide what the next cooling part I buy should be. I have a 04 VQ with stock internals. I am running a Turbonetics turbo kit with the spearco intercooler, a 3 row radiator, a Nismo thermostat, the water cooling turbo kit mod from turbonetics, I'm running Water Wetter and water in my radiator, I add Lucas sythetic racing oil additive, and I've wrapped most of my turbo pipes with heat wrap. I'm attending events once a month and I usually get 5 back to back runs about 4 times at each event. Like clock work, after the 2nd run, the car temp starts rising and by the time I get to my 4th run the temp is running pretty warm. Im trying to decide what mod to put on next that will do the most good. I've been looking at 1.) adding a oilcooler through a sandwich plate. 2.) putting a fan on my oil cooler. 3.) adding a vented hood. Last event I took my bumper off just to get more air. Any advice or ideas I'm not thinking about????

What coolant temps are you seeing? What oil temps?

If you are relying on the stock temp gauge to tell you anything, you might as well just put a blindfold on.

Jason, I want to have your babies

I say first - get a couple gauges:
oil temp
coolant temp

Then in order of cost (id do all of the below):
1. put your under tray on
2. maybe try one of those trays that attaches at the top (if its cheap)
3. turbo blanket to keep the heat off your radiator
4. oil cooler

Maybe some other ideas that I missed...how about V-mount? haha

A oil cooler would do mininum in keeping your coolant temp down. But in general it is a good idea for your set up.

What kind of fans are you running? Are they coming on?

If you can bear the heat, turning on your heater on would help.

Oil cooler , real temp gauge and pull the weather stripping off the top of the firewall to let air pull thru.

I'm using a large single fan that runs constantly.

I did this at the last event and put spacer washers on the hood.
