I would still like more information about the 2002 Maxima that has the Tomei Cams. Can you please post it?

Seems everyone is talking around 20rwhp... maybe a little more... by changing cams.

That's not much for an investment approaching $2000 ($1000+ for parts and install fees if you don't do it yourself). That's a pretty sizeable downpayment on an ATI Procharger if you ask me.

I'd be more inclined to save up for another month or two and go FI. For 3x the price you will gain 5x-6x the rwhp or more. Hey, matter of fact, that is what I'm doing!

to each his own. i've gone FI in my other car; now i want an allmotor setup on the z for autocross purposes, since thats my newfound hobby prefer the reliability. btw, i think its ~15 whp increase, but i'm not doing just cams

i'm actually gonna drop the car off on the 9th, since the shop will be undermanned this coming week.

and jeff, take digital pics of my baby when you're there checking it out

Is the Nismo cams 262 for both IN and EX ?

The Z has 238 IN and 240 EX so if you were going with the tomei cams would you go 264 IN and 268 EX or 268 IN and 272 EX or keep them even ie: 268 IN/EX

The 272's are not listed on their web site but believe that they are available.

Okay I have a few questions for everyone. We know that the stock Z cams are 238 IN and 240 EX. Does anyone know what the stock duration is? Does anyone know what type of scale it's done on?

238/240 is the duration. The stock lift is somewhere around 9.8mm I believe but don't qoute me on that.

Can anyone confirm this? Is stock lift 9.2? Does Tomei make a 272 cam? What are the specs? What scale are all these cams duration mesured on?

We just had our race team profile a stock cam for us. I'm not sure which cam it was,(intake/exhaust) just that it came out of a stock 350Z. Said the lift was .376 and duration was 214.5 @ 40 ??? Hpoe that means something to you guys, I just put them in and go.
