I have an 05 Touring, and I noticed yesterday when pushed the car the car it sometimes makes a whining noise from 2nd-4th gear? is that normal? I also notice a feint thumping noise too? I'm just hoping it's nothing big.

 

you have a supercharger that you don't know about?

 

Not sure what you are describing, but in my car the gearing whine seems to be louder than my exhaust note at most speeds. Sounds like my dad's old john deer lawn tractor....except faster.

 

Yeah, mine does it too. I think it's coming from the rear end...

 

Almost kind of sounds like a stripped track car, with straight cut gears, except quieter.. does that make more sense? lol
