Default oil loss

i have a 2004 350z and i changed my oil yesterday. but, when i drained the oil there seemed to be only 2 quarts of oil in the drain pan. i haven't changed my oil for 6000 miles. i also checked for leaks but i couldn't find any. there is also no oil stains in my garage. my car is pretty much stock besides a pop charger. any info would be appreciated.

first of all, the recommended oil change intervals for synthetic is 5k and non-syn is 3k. i check my oil level every 1k or so insure proper oil levels; it only takes a couple of minutes and it can save you from very serious problems down the road. look at your skid plate cover (or whatever its called, the stupid plastic cover held on by like 20 bolts protecting the motor/trans under the car) and look for oil on there. if none is detected you are probably burning oil which is not a good sign. take it to the dealer, if it is still under warranty, as soon as you can, and tell them what is going on (other than the fact that you aren't following proper oil change guidelines).
