Default Dealer Warranty Clutch Replacement??

Hi everyone i'm new to my350z and the whole nissan family in general. I used to be into the honda scene for awhile had a 205whp all motor Civic Hatch, just purchased a used 350z. Its still under warranty and i was just wondering if anyone has any luck on getting a clutch replacement from the dealer. From my understanding its considered wear & tear and usually not covered. I was just wondering if anyone actually managed to get it replaced. Any info would be great, maybe cost if applicable? I'm looking forward to my experience with my Z and this forum.

Warranty clutch replacement is rare. It pretty much has to fail because as you noted - it's a wear and tear item.

your clutch will not be replaced under warranty unless it is determined that defects in material and workmanship caused your clutch to have excessive wear, and proving that is pretty much impossible, and i am sure its not the case. i recently had my trans replaced under warranty and the clutch, release bearing, pilot bearing, and pressure plate alone ran me 400, and that is only because they had already dropped the trans. if you are going to get it replaced you are looking at 1000+ in parts and labor.

Don't even bother with the dealer. You aren't getting it covered under warranty, and if they do the work they are going to rape your wallet.

Buy an aftermarket clutch and flywheel combo and find a good independent shop in your area to take care of it for you.

How many miles are on the car. You think that might be a significant factor. If the clutch fails at 100 miles, Nissan may give you a new one. On the other hand 30,000 miles forget it.

+1. just make sure you get some references on the shop because a lot of places will rip you off and $%#@ your car pretty bad.
