^^^ IMHO, it doesn't matter which line goes to the feed/exit. Once you get the air out, it's all the same.

The noise might be a improper seal in your sandwhich adapter....do you have a aftermarket oil pressure gauge..? I'll be installing my setrab this weekend I'll check for this as well.

Update:

I reinstalled the cooler sandwhich plate and started the car...the noise came back again but it is no where near as loud as it was before...Changes I made were switching the feed/return lines and new oil...I think it will be ok now...Everything looks normal(except for the noise which is very faint now) So I don't think I will worry about it that much....In the future I will get a mocal sandwhich plate but for now...this will do...
