Default Interest in gauge pillars?

I'm just wondering how many people would be interested in a gauge pillar for our cars? I know of a place that will custom make them, either single or full length. There is a minimum order of 20 pcs. Would anyone be interested in this, being that there isn't anything out for our cars yet?

Just trying to see if there is an interest, this isn't a group buy or anything, but might become one if we can get enough people, etc..

Thanks,
Bill

I don't think there will be a huge response due to the fact that we already have 6 gauges anyhow. Maybe the FI folks will want some boost gauges or something.

Exactly what I was thinking. Seems that alot of people here are going FI, or will be in the future. I know myself, I'm going to get a set, but the more people, the cheaper it is.

count me in it never hurts to have a few extra gauges if you like to mod your car. What is a ballpark $$$ estimate for this?

That's the thing, I'm not 100% sure, so I'll give you an estimate. I'd say a full pillar, would be about $55.00-$60.00 shipped. But again, depends on how many, because these are being custom made. I'll know a more solid number when we can get a more accurate number of people interested.

Count me in ifthe proce is around $50 or $60. I really do not have any use for it now but, sometime in the near future I probably will. Plus since Autometer has no plans on making them so they are going to be hard to come by (possibly).

When I go FI in the future, I'll want a guage pod. For the time being, I don't have any need for more guages.

You should just have them made and sell them over time Not everybody is going to want them right now.

I was thinking the same thing. I just dropped all the money I had left in my "car fund". I'm broke right now Oh well, that's what credit cards are for I guess..

If the cost is $50-60, I would certainly be interested regardless of whether it is a two or three gauge. I would prefer 3, but could live with two.

Alright, looks like there is enough interest for me to proceed to the next step. I'll keep you all posted on this. Hopefully it won't be over 60$ shipped, I'll know more during the week.

Thanks guys,
Bill

Well, I think anyone that goes FI will have interest. That should be enought to make you want to do it.

Yeah, I'd be interested, as long as it looks good and is well-made.

Yes, Lotec. They are a few miles from me, so I'll bring my car to them for fitment etc.. Time frame, not sure I will speak with them tomorrow, and then I'll figure out a price etc. I think they sell 2 versions, painted and unpainted. I am going to look into the painted version. We'll see what they say tomorrow, I might stop by there during lunch and see what we can come up with.

Hmmmm, if I did go FI, I would prefer some gauges that are more stealth. If I pull up to someone, and they see all those gauges right on the window, then they know I have something up my sleeve. I do prefer a setup that doesn't stand out, if possible. Is that possible, and where in the Z can I put them??
