Talking Redline synthetic oil

Just had the dealer put 2 quarts of each MT-90 and MTL in the tranny, 2 quarts of 75W90 in the Diff, and 5 quarts Mobil 1 synthetic in the engine. So far, I have to say the shifts are noticably smoother. The stick goes in and out the gates with less resistance especially when you are shifting with urgency. So much in fact... I made my first boo-boo in my car today.

Going around 75 mph on the freeway, I decided to test out the new oils by downshifting to 4th to pass a few slower cars. Instead, I ended up in 2nd and the tach rocketed to ~7500 rpms !!! OUCH !!!! Then, the needle bounced up and down like 3 or 4 times in and out of the redline before my left foot could stomp on the clutch. I felt the car leap forward and back, leap forward and back like 3 times too. I was down to about 67 mph when i hit the clutch.

I almost soiled myself. First itme I miss shifted on such a grand scale. The car ran fine all the way home. I didnt smeel any burnt clutch or anything for that matter. I even stopped on the way home at the gas station to fill up and then take another smell around. Everything seems normal. I think i was --> <-- this close form blowing my engine. Just goes to show... this is one tuff *** engine!
