Question Borla True Duel Installation question...

I found a sweet deal on a Borla true duel and I want to make sure its 100% bolt on. Meaning I can take my box-o-pipes to any old exhaust shop and get it installed. Seems odd to me that you don't need new headers or 2 cats for a "true duel" exhaust.

So do I need anything else becides what comes in the box or will there be a need for custom underbody work? Should it be strickly chop off the old exhaust and weld on the new one?

I really hope it is since the response from this tread will decide wether my credit card comes out of my wallet or not

You don't need anything else. It's just simple bolt on with clamps.

Tool list required for exhaust install:

14mm socket
14mm deep socket
15mm socket (for borla clamps, thanks pepti-guy. or girl)
12mm socket
10mm socket
1/2" socket wrench
1/2" socket breaker bar
4" extension
18" extension (not completely necessary)
ramps or two jacks
WD40
a long *** flathead screwdriver (no matter what the job "Big Jim" is there)
channel locks (helpful in removing hangers)
a friend

oh and the pipes don't fight with each other... it's a duAl exhaust. (sorry nit pick)

I would add to the list above the need for a deep 15mm socket. My Borla clamps were 15mm and not 14mm. This is truly something that you could accomplish in a couple of hours. If you have not mechanical expertise, assume 4-5 hours. Also, when jacking/ramping the car, I used my plastic RhinoRamps on the rear and this was the best method. The car is stable and ramping the rear is better than the front. This will make it a little tight when unbolting the stock exhaust at the cats, but you can do this from the side of the car. Good luck, it is really easy.

Extremely noticable. Especially when the ambient temperature is lower. lightly cruise in second gear til about 3700rpm, then nail it. you'll know what i'm talking about.
