Default Change type of motor oil...

I want to change the motor oil on my 350z form regular to synthetic. Do I have to do something or just drain the regular motor oil and pour the synthetic?

NO you cant just pour the synthetic in there.
You have to change out sparkplugs to the synthetic spark plugs, and also the air filter to a synthetic filter. Also I would suggest while you are there you should ban yourself.

Jk...How many miles do you have on the motor? All you would need to do is change the oil with your choice and install a new oil filter

I would change your oil early the first time, 1500 miles after you switch, then you can go back to regular intervals.

1. Run car until warm.

2. Drain oil, then reinstall drain bolt

3. Remove/replace oil filter

4. Refill oil with synthetic

Closing thread to avoid the inevitable.
