Add oil, check oil dipstick level, turn on motor for a bit, turn off motor, check oil dipstick level, repeat as necessary

Thanks, anyone added an oil cooler system? How much more oil did you need?

that won't work if the oil cooler is higher than the pan.........as the oil all drains back into the pan.......and throws off your dipstick readings.

the best technique is to fill the oil cooler and lines with oil prior to installation and measure the aded volume......that way you know, for sure, how much capacity you have added!

My oil cooler has the lines going in and coming out of the top - So no drain back from the cooler.

My oil cooler + lines + sandwich plate took about 3/4qt extra to fill.

I wanna say my ARC cooler added an extra space for 1/2 quart. I'm not really sure to be honest. I haven't changed my oil in over a year now.

Having a DD FTW...
