Final Drive next OR Tune?
Well ive set aside some money for my next mod and cant decide what to do. Im really stumped and cant decide what to do next...4.08 Gear or Uprev Reflash? I can order the Gear this week and have installed next week sometime OR I can Order my Uprev Reflash with Cipher. Im totally stoked about both of them but just cant decide what to do. Ive heard so many great things about the Gear and the Flash, and how there actually mods that u can FEEL. I know it really doesnt matter but I like to hear other peeps opinions.

Also I dont want to hear about how I should get a Utec or something else. This is what I want to do.
Gears and reflash go together like peas and carrots. I would say to get the COBB AccessPort based on your mods. That will raise the revlimiter, something you will need with those 4.08 gears.
Keep in mind that the install on gears isn't that cheap. If you are going for it, you might as well put a LSD in as well.

Also Lokey Infiniti here in Clearwater gave me a flat price of $600 for install.
Either way 700 or 1000 is about the same, my limit for the car this time is 1200$.
I have heard terrible things about the Cobb AP for the Z. I heard it does nothing at all. It seems as soon as people get them there selling them for 450$. Uprev on the other hand has gotton Rave reviews.

So test pipes, dual exaust, plenum spacer, popcharger....all the basic bolt-ons for this car doesnt warrant a tune???? Whats left besides headers and lightweight pulleys that do nothing.. Where do u get your info from>?????
Yea that was with my launching the car from 800Rpm also. My clutch has 58,000 miles on it, I didnt want to wipe it out. And my best time was also a 14.2 at 104 mph...I just found the slip in my pants pocket lol.

I want the gear badly but I feel my car is running to rich and possibly lean up top. I keep getting lean condition codes all the time. Im thinking I need the get the car running right before I put a gear in.

what kinda wideband are you running and logging are you doing to prove you are running lean? seat of your pants means little.
what CEL code is lean condition?
i had/have all those mods and logged alot to know the stock ECU has enough resolution to bring the AF in check.
However, by your complete resistance to listen to experience, buy the osiris. Not sure what you want out of this thread. You fight anything except the tune.

Thanks! I will update this post when my base maps arrive hopefully this week. Im also getting the car dyno'ed next Saturday, it will give me a chance to log some runs for them.
