Default ECU Reset

Does the manual way of resetting the ECU, as shown on several sites like technosquare's, reset the P1273 code or do i have to go to the dealership?

no.

I saw your other post too...

Resetting the ECU doesn’t do anything for your issue... it doesn’t clear codes either...

The O2 sensors have a heater element in them - and it sound like your has gone bad... coincidently, I have the exact same problem, same sensor location too... since it is the 2nd sensor - I'm leaving mine alone for now as it does not affect the A/F (as sensor 1 does)...

You can clear the code with Cipher or consult II, but it will probably just come back on... mine was cleared 3 times and it hasn’t come on again.

If it bothers you, take it to the dealer - or buy a new sensor ($188 from Riverside Infiniti - more from most other dealers) and have a local shop install or DIY.

There isn’t much more that can be said to help... you don’t need to open another thread about it.

I already changed out the sensor. Thats why it frustrates me that the CEl is still on after I manually resetted it.

how did you "manually reset" it?... if you are referring to resetting the ECU, I already told you that doesn’t clear codes.
