There are alot of 06 owners on this forum like me that have 06s that dont burn oil,I'd say there are more that do not burn oil than do.If you get a 06 at least get one that is still under warranty.

I've had my 06 for 2 years, oil change every 3K miles with regular dino oil and no burning. I don't drive hard all the time, just once in a while. So no, not all 06s burn oil. Oh, and my engine is stock.

Yes, every last one of them. Flux Capacitor was installed backwards on the '06 model.

Like they said - ton of info on this - search and you will find lots.

In short - it was a problem with the manual only (different engine). I haven't heard of an auto with the problem....mine has been fine. Been in it for just over a year now...

My auto 5AT G35 burned 3 quarts every 1000 miles. My 06 6MT G35 burned about 1 quart per 1000 miles. Plenty of 5ATs have also had this problem.

My suspicion is that we'd hear about more oil burning engines if everyone started to check their oil levels themselves. I always assumed that my 5AT wasn't burning oil, since I was getting regular oil changes at the dealership, and if it were low, they would let me know. It wasn't until I checked the levels myself that I realized that there was a problem.

If the car has 20,000 or more miles on it, it probably won't be a problem.

How many miles does it have?
