I blew my tube seals on the valve cover.... which was expected, even more so since it's under boost... I was just wondering if anyone knows of a company that makes a better valve cover/ tube seal combination that can hold up better than the factory valve covers? any help thanks....

curious as to how this was expected? are you talking about the spark plug tube seals?
If these blew due to boost you have WAY to much C.C. pressure. might wanna look into that. check your pcv valve make sure its working.

yes I'm talking about the spark plug tube seals... They didn't blow because the boost they were already going bad, but the boost didn't help lol... I knew they needed to be replaced anyways, I was just putting it off. I was just looking for a more durable version than OEM, but I doubt anyone makes one I was just curious....

maybe "blew" was too harsh of a term to use... I'm pretty much just getting oil down my tube seals and some is landing on top of the valve covers and it's collecting on top as well... I haven't really looked into it any further than that, my car just has a small sputter at the moment... like a miss or a vacuum leak... But I'm going to take it apart on monday replace the valve covers... and yea I'll check out my c.c.p and pcv as well, so I plan on doing a compression test.... but yea the car has 65k on it and I knew the tube seals were already leaking, it's just it's progressing and is now starting to affect the performance so I stopped driving the car until I replace some parts...

sounds a lil strange to me. i had problems on my old supra getting the valve covers to seal but it was mainly due to the fasteners not staying tight. I have not heard of problems with the seals and have ran my stock Z to 65k with no leaks and now im running a built TT engine and no problems with the valve covers. Come to think of it I dont even think I replaced my spark plug tube seals when i put my motor together.
Might want to make sure everything is tight and take a turkey baster and some paper towels and get as much oil as you can out of the spark plug holes.
I have never seen any "upgraded" covers or gaskets and the factory gaskets are a pretty nice compound for sealing...

Yea I didn't even mod my 03 Z until after my warranty ran out... and they were leaking before I was running boost... Yea I knew this is a pretty common problem with Z's, a lot of people just haven't noticed it yet in there's.... Thats why I was looking for a better alternative than the OEM version but I don't think it exist...
We just had to replace a set for a customer whose car was running way too hot for far too long. Ended costing far too much, but we just sold them to him at our cost, plus the labor. It wasn't fun though and I'm sure the oil that collected in there won't help with the longevity of the coil packs...
I thought about that when I was puttin my motor together. But then I looked at how the front of the covers go over the cam caps and the spark plug holes and thought it was maybe a lil too complicated. maybe?
It was over heating? Just curious. My coolant temp looks good but my under hood temps seem REALLY hot ever since I went F/I. Ive always thought it was just me being paranoid but i dunno. I didnt have my car but a couple months before I boosted so I didnt spend that much time with the hood up.

its hot under there normally so yes not that u have turbos sitting under there it is going to be much hotter then stock. Just make sure you heat wrap the critical components.( Wires, brake lines, etc.)
