OH BOY WAS I WRONG!
This thread is fantastic, lol. Lmao @ "I recon I done ate myself about 45 yards a milk in my day..."
Imagine you had a two liter soda bottle and a measuring sick. If you put the stick in the bottle, and pull it back out, and the stick is only half wet... guess how much soda you have left. Same principle. (... thats what she said...?)

Bummer. How much were you burning?
ROFL...great thread all around.
It's simply hilarious that Nissan created a dipstick measurement chart, when its near impossible to constistenly check oil on the OEM dipstick. It's a crap shoot, even under perfect conditions.

You state that you were told you lost 17mm which is equal to a quart, but your chart definitely says that 17mm is a little under 3/4 of a quart. Don't know how much of a difference that would make...Just an observation
'O4 Touring Coupe: bought used on February 8th, this year; did an oil change a month
later (March), haven't had to add a drop of oil since. Me thinks non-rev-up engines are
better---at least in the oil-consumption department!---than rev-up ones!
