So I decided to try and change the spark plus myself and I got the drivers side all taken care of but the passenger side is a pain in the ***. How did you guys access the area? I can't seem to get the enough room to maneuver as the wiring gets in the way. Any assistance would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Dan

I just did mine about 4 weeks ago. P-Side is harder. I don't have any pics, should have took some when I was in there. I just removed every little bracket that was holding wire bundles that got in my way and pushed / pulled a bit enuf to make room one plug at a time. Not very precise description... I assume you took off the engine cover and the strut tower brace...

Yes, I did take off the strut tower and the cover. I also took a look at the DIY posted, which got me started. Did you have to remove the hose that comes out of the front of the lower plenum? What about the big bundle of wires that attach to the coil packs?
Thanks for the responses....

I was able to do it pretty much the same way lbz did, I want to say I disconnected a vacuum line on that side for better access to cylinder 1 but i cant remember exactly. Just be patient when pulling them out and take your time.

take the intake manifold off. i remove it every time I change plugs. It makes it so easy. the manifold comes off very easily. I can get to my plugs in less than 10 minutes...including removing the manifold.
the 1st time I changed my plugs (without removing the manifold), it took about an hour to do the job.

I did it without pulling the IM. Loosen the brackets holding the wiring harness so you can move it around, then you can get your spark plug tool on an extension through it and get the plugs out. Its takes a bit or wrangling but isn't too hard overall once the wiring is loosened up. Pulling the cops (coil on plugs) off is kinda un-nerving as it seems like you are bending the boot which you do a bit on a few, but really its no big deal.
