Default Where does this plug go? And other questions :)

So I am putting my car back to stock. And it's taking awhile, just cause of work and the car is at my parents. Right now the car doesn't start. It turns over but won't crank. I've checked the flywheel positioning sensor and cleaned it with some carb cleaner, no luck. Any thoughts on what I should check next?

Also this is the last plug I can't figure out for the life of me where it goes:

It is connected to one main wire that is split into four sections. one of the wires goes to the power steering pump:

One goes to the alternator:

One goes to this:

So I can't figure out where that first one goes. Any ideas? And any idea of what kind of troubleshooting I should do next to get the car started?

So I think the wire was spliced in for the solenoid for the aftermarket oil pressure.

Looking at the official wiring diagram, there should only be three wires: power steering pressure, alternator and oil pressure.

Still no idea on why it won't crank.

So the plug didn't go where I thought it went. Went down there and it wasn't not even close.

I pulled my motor to remove my TT setup, and then put it back in.

Thanks Coachk, pics aren't there though

Wire definitely goes to the Oil Pressure Switch. I don't have one cause it was removed for the aftermarket one.

Gonna check for spark on the coilpacks next.

Checked fuses yesterday, everything looked good. Where exactly is the main ground wire?

It's hooked up and I also did the throttle reset procedure, seemed to be fine.

Actually I'm back to stock. Was using the FCon Vpro.

The last thing I can think of is that the MAF is hooked up, except for I don't have my airbox installed. Should this matter? From what I can remember of the stock airbox, it was entirely plastic so I'm not sure if it was even being grounded.

check the negative wire that connected to the battry mine was melted. when this wire melts it will not give you a strong sparks in the coils ^_^

Yeah, I pulled the fuel line where the regulator was, turned the ignition on and it was plenty strong. I kept the walbro 255 in.

I also went back to the stock injectors. They are getting the correct voltage, however I don't know if they are firing. I poured some gas down the intake runners to see if the spark would cause it to start, but no luck. To me that points back 100% to the coils. However, I do know that the coils are getting correct voltage, I just don't know if they are firing. I've talked to a few people but there doesn't seem to be a real safe way to check for spark on coils. Plus, I highly doubt all 6 coils would go bad. Even if one was good, it would still start and then die immediately. When logging with my Cipher, I see the injectors are active, the timing is going to 6-7 BTDC and the RPMs are right at 200. So I'm thinking that there is a grounding issue, but I'm just not sure what grounds to check again. Could just take them all off, but I'm not even 100% sure of all of them. Will try my best though.

Thanks for the info.

I face the same problem with my car two weeks ago I have build motor with APS twin turbo I checked all the grounding and I found one ground wire that connected to the cover is not there so I put one there and replace the negative battrey wire and the car
starts fine and about the coils when the peroblem starts I checked the voltage to the coil and they are fine but no start so i'm sure you have a grounding problem.

Yeah I am certain it's a grounding problem, but I'm not sure where to start. I have all of the service manuals. Is there a guide specifically about ALL grounding terminals?

I did this:
1) checked dedicated 12v to injector, fine
2) checked ignition signal to all injectors, reading 0.32 during cranking, which is suppose to be 0.1-0.4 so it's fine

Also pulled the ignition coil and spark plug out, hung it 13mm off the block, cranked the car and had no spark.

So again, I find it hard to believe that all 6 coils ****ed up. HAS to be a grounding problem, but again, where do I start? There are the main engine grounds on the front passenger side, a wiring harness ground in front by the camshafts that grounds to the front, another ground on the drivers side by the exhaust.

What about ECM grounds? There is one under the passenger dash, reseated and it's fine - plus it has never been removed. One under the steering wheel, same as earlier.

Are there any specifically for the IPDM (intelligent power distribution module)? Is this what actually sends out the ignition signal? I know its relayed from the ECM -> IPDM -> Coils, so should I start there?

So the PG.pdf is titled "Power Supply, Ground & Circuit Elements"

Will be reading this for a bit and going back down.

is the ground wire that came from the harness to front cover is connected at least
you will see sparks in the coils but if all of them are not working may be a fuse did you check all the fuse boxs in the car three boxs next to the battrey and one under the
steering

Yeah, the ground at the front of the harness is solely for the injectors. I have actually tried three different places to ground it on the front. I went and looked at old pictures, it is definitely in the right spot.

A few shops replied to my other thread and I put a response in there:

https://my350z.com/forum/engine-driv...ont-start.html

0 spark basically.
