Default 07 Z Radiator: Aluminum? OEM?

Ok guys, before you flame me...I did use the search feature and came up negative. I have a 07 MT Enthusiast that has a leaking radiator. It looks like a rock punctured the bottom. In any case, before I go straight to Nissan, I wanted to find out if there are any aftermarket aluminum radiators available or will the pre 07 radiators fit? Thanks for any advise you might have. Thanks.

Here are two links to some aftermarket radiators.

Koyo

Not positively sure if pre-07 stock would fit, but I don't see why it wouldn't if the aftermarket ones fit all years.

Thank you. Ill check them out! I tried to call Nissan and have them look up a radiator part # on my vehicle and then a pre 07. Their answer was that they would need a VIN # from a pre 07 to compare with mine. Guess I will be heading to the parking lot to find a pre 07 Z...lol

VQ35HR rads are completely different from VQ35DE rads. Last time we checked, I havent seen an aftermarket VQ35HR rad yet...I know Koyo does not have one.

So I hope you didn't order the wrong rad.

I had my car backed into not too long ago, my radiator had a piece of plastic puncture into it. When I was getting the car fixed I asked the shop to order a Koyo radiator for the 08... and as you were saying it didn't fit on the car, after they did some research they couldn't any aftermarket radiators that fit the HR. I think the spout on the HR is directly on the block as opposed to the radiator of the DE. Hopefully the OP didn't order the wrong kind, although if he did find the correct radiator please let everyone know.

Next time, order your parts from us, Z1, or another trusted vendor, so this type of mistake will never happen.

Is the vendor going to let you return it?

I should hope so. He says he already shipped it. I just ordered it late last night, but it looks like I might be stuck with it. He has not responded as to whether I can return it.

See my car is down in the bodyshop right now and all I need is a radiator to get it running again. Its funny how Nissan here where I live did not even know there was a difference.

If their site says that it will fit your application, I believe you have grounds to return it based on false information. Hopefully, he comes through with doing the right thing. If you have problems with the vendor, contact paypal (You only have 30 days from date of purchase) if that is what you utilized to pay and see if they can resolve the issue. If that fails, just call your credit card company and dispute the charge.

Good luck!

Thanks, I spoke to the vendor, he explained that once I return the radiator and cap, he will credit that purchase towards the injen dual cold air intake. Thats fair I suppose. He only wanted to give store credit so thats what I chose to purchase. That is a good intake from what I have read...right??
