Default Crawford Products & Competition

i'm eyin the intake plenum up, and mayb the cats. should i go for it or look into another brand? mayb a brand that isn't out yet? another thing, they send u a plenum, then u send your stock one back, right? just curious. their site also says the cat count goes from 4 to 2, so that sounds real good. is cat removal a difficult task? anything u guys can inform me about would b awesome; thanks.

The cats are really easy, if you have the right tools (always important). You simply need to ramp the front tires and have a good socket set that can reach all the bolts. Given this, a monkey could do the install in a couple hours.

It's not a bad install but the top bolts on the header side can be tricky to get to. If all you have is a 1/4 socket set with one extension, you might want to have someone else do it. But if you have the tools and a skinny mumra looking friend to weasel his hand up into your engine, then go for it!

actually it's 450$ not including the strut bar (+200$). If you don't send your original plenum back, then you get charged 200$ or so for the core.

For the standard (non-polished plenum)...

$500 (I think $450 for my350 members?) + $200 charge....

Total $700 or $650.

Once your plenum is returned you get a $200 credit.

.
.
.

Cost effectiveness, you're right... cats aren't one of the biggest bottlenecks. Once you run headers, an exhaust, etc... THEN you'll see the benefits of the cats. First mod I'd recommend... is CERTAINLY the plenum!

9 at peak and 20 at redline sounds really good to me, but what r the chances of someone else getting better gains than these with another plenum. a couple hp isn't goin to b that much of difference. i'm just thinkin of like 15 at peak and 25 at redline. i would like a mod that people r still advocatin for a couple years from now.
