Question I need some advise on Cusco LSD

I was looking through "classified" section for a used 3.9 rear gear. What I found was a whole pumpkin, built around the 350evo 3.9 gear, which also had the Nismo finned cover, SPL bushings, and the Cusco RS 1.5 way, all for a great price and local to me, AND not requiring my pumpkin in exchange, so, naturally I jumped on it, and picking it up tomorrow.
The diff is set to 80% lock. I am unsure if I want to stay at those settings, or change to 60%. I am not doing any of my own labor, and MRC is no longer in buisness. Any good mechanic should be able to swap pumpkins, but as far as opening up the pumpkin and rearranging the clutch plates, you need an specialist shop for that. Plus that will also require additional labor hours, fluid replacement, etc.
My car will be mostly driven on the street. If ever I do an occasional autox session, I do not want to sacrifice comfort/drivability for better performance.
So should I make my life easy and leave it at 80%, or spending extra money/effort to set it to 60%?
What issues/difficluties should I expect at 80%, that would not present themselves at 60%?

I would also be curious to hear people opinions on the 60% and 80% set ups

I looked through most of them. Basically I read good things about BOTH 60% and 80%. I may have typed too quickly in the original post.
Bottom line, I will be able to swap the pumpkins by a good auto shop, so most likely I will try it out on 80%. My new question, will there be a lot of labor involved to detune it to 60%, if 80% is too much? Do you have to actually drop the whole pumpkin, or do you just take off the cover, pull out the diff and rearrange the clutch plates?

Then, maybe, I will be the first one to post a 80% vs. 60% comparesment.

Ahh...you must have gotten cmuro's pumpkin?

Anyway to change the lockup on the Cusco diff, you have to take the diff out of the pumpkin and restack the clutch plates. The good news is that this won't require messing with the crush sleeve of setting the torque on the pinion nut. Also if the diff was properly shimmed and you are not changing diffs then the same shims will work fine on reassembly.

It doesn't sound like you are for tackling this type of work though.....so I would just install the pumpkin as is and give it a try since you may like the 80% lockup just fine.

Yep, stumbled into his "for sale" thread and currently freaking out over settings.
I am afraid to even think what kind of clusterfcuk this is going to turn into if I decide to do something with the motor...
From what I understood, the parking maneuvers will be the only disadvantage...
