hydrolock cold air intake question and jwt clutch flywheel question please help
No not new to BR, just new to the 350z world. Got the car about 2 months ago. Sounds good, been to a couple car meets around here but nothing exclusive to the 350z. So when you guys get together look me up.

Damn you Chris. We think the timing belt jumped a notch on the Prelude. Right now I'll either fix it or buy a Civic

more runs in the quarter than me???? total every car ive had? no way
in the z definately i never got a chance
and yeah i kinda like the rattle, all of my previous cars were mustangs soooo its kinda homie
the guy- yeah definately pm me and blasian your number , if i get enough people in the area we will have a lil get together one night at my buisness.

Jesus christ Jeff, wtf did you start? You ask two questions and people from BR start showing up
lol probably not total cars, the Z is the only car I started drag racing but I haven't done that in a while. Most of my mods have been suspension lately. More to come before Zdayz

Drive smart with the CAI and you wont have a problem, mines been on my car since 17k and Im at 63k with no problems.
I also have the jwt clutch/flywheel combo. Yes it makes more noise at idle and when accelerating in gear up to about 2000 RPM, then it finally gets quiet and is just like stock from there on up the rev range.

Nice. I'm actually around BB and Perkins a lot because that's on the way to my gf's house. I'll shoot you a PM.
the filter is oiled to repel water. even if you didnt have a filter and the intake was sitting under water, i dont think there's enough vacuum to pull a 3" column of water up 2 vertical feet.
a sensible option would be a prefilter sock for the filter.

blasian- I know huh, these br guys are comming out the woodwork..... i think its great, I also got connections with the porsche club here and the corvette club, If we can get a good lil group going itd be pretty badazz
and why is your car loud or rattling right now, I know you got hit but i didnt know how bad i thought i saw you about 2 weeks ago with the back all dinted in "yo sh*t be fu**ed ^ " what happened?
str8dum1- yeah i was trying to think about it logically, but 2 questions come to mind, do u really need a whole column of water for hydrolock?????
and wont a sock be defeating the purpose of an aftermarket intake, by making it more inefficient to breathe????
Injen Hydroshield. Got em on my Injen CAI. no probs.

Got rear ended by three cars on the Atchafalaya bridge
This was like 4 months ago though and my back is finally starting to feel better. If I could only say the same for the Z lol. I'll get it fixed before Zdayz which is in May, I've just been taking my time because I don't want to get it fixed and drive it on campus to get destroyed. I have an old Honda I'm trying to get running at my parents house.
Nope, I would have never gotten an auto Z. Changed my clutch and flywheel about a year ago and coilovers shortly afterwards then ended up getting more coilovers about 3 months ago.
