One thing to remember with hose selection for this is that you're working with vacuum and not pressure. A lot of hoses that are designed for high pressure will collapse under vacuum even though they are reinforced. They are reinforced to prevent swelling and rupture rather than collapse. I've seen larger braided hoses (-12 AN & -16 AN) collapse when used in oil scavenge applications where they were on the suction side of the system.

That's kinda why I recommended using a PCV system hose since it is designed for vacuum side use.
