Default Need a new flywheel and clutch, anyone deal with the warranty

My Z has 58k miles, the clutch went and the Nissan dealer which I brought my car say’s the total of the job will be 2,300 after tax. He is also replacing the fly wheel which he says needs to be replaced too. The dealer is going to see if he can get the fly wheel under warranty. Anyone have this problem? I know im somewhat covered under the drivetrain warranty since im under 60k.

if you cant install a clutch/flywheel yourself, have a shop do it (roughly 500).

never pay anything through the dealer, they rape you in the buttt

Up untill this point i have done everything myself (besides tuning utec) on jackstands.....lol...i really dont want to tackle a clutch/flywheel job in my driveway on 4 jackstands ahahah...japtrix has quoted me at about 450....so i think im gonna get this install done for me ahahhaha......bash me if you'd like,,but just to do springs/camber kit and testpipes with just a single jack took me about 6-7 hours.......i need a lift...lol

I just got my car back. They replaced the clutch disc, clutch assembly and flywheel. Luckily my car still has 58k and the dealer covered the flywheel under warranty which was a $900 savings. The total for the clutch disc and clutch assembly was $1,480.

Wow. $1480 for a stock clutch and you're pleased? That's pretty rough.

People with automatics forget to save the $400 - $500 per year [every year since new] to replace transmissions after warranty............they often wait too late to sell vehicle thinking the AT will last longer than it does.

Obviously replacing 2 clutches and 2 flywheels is < an AT.
