Default Problems with my car ALREADY?!

I just purchased a 2007 roadster from a dealership. Carfax was clean, less than 21k miles, one owner.

I got it yesterday, drove about 10 miles, then got in to go to work today; after about 5 miles, the "Service Engine Soon" light came on. What are some common causes for this? Oil was changed in November.

It is still under the 3 year warranty. Do I just take it to a Nissan dealership and see what they say? I am a little nervous seeing how I just bought the car and something is already wrong with it (potentially).

Did you fill it up with gas recently and forget to tighten the cap?

Are you sure it's the check engine light or the check tire pressure light?

Well, they filled it up at the dealership, and I drove it some after that. It came on about halfway through the full tank of gas.

Will I have to pay anything at the dealership?

There are a hundred codes possible. Take it to the dealer and get it fixed.

Cant tell without diagnostics. Some problems are covered by warranty. Some are on your dime.

i own a 2007 as well and my service engine light came on the other day. dropped it off at the service center and it turned out to be the fuel pump. it wasn't pumping enough fuel....i guess it got dirty, clogged or something. they cleaned it up and now everything is good.

like others have said, it could be a number of things, but that was the issue i had.

get it to the dealership/service center; it should still be under warranty.
