oil pan APS, what level oil ?
hello.
I installed on my nissan 350z 280ch of 2003 "APS Air Cooled Cast Alloy High Capacity Engine Oil Pan".

I do not have a turbo. I would like to know that level of oil in the engine to be with Carter.
I read on their site but I do not know if it is only for those on the turbo.
http://www.airpowersystems.com/350z/...ain_notice.htm
"Due to the fact that the oil pickup is lowered by approx 1 / 2 inch (12 mm)
into the larger APS oil pan floor, the correct engine oil level is achieved
when the stock dip-stick reads at the low mark after being fully inserted."
thank you in advance for your response

They replied :
Yes the oil level should be the same, with or without turbo,
Regards,
David
I sent an email to find out why :
ok.
thank you for your speed.
but why put it at the low level ?
They replied :
To prevent the crankshaft from causing the oil to froth,
Regards,
David
but I still do not understand why put at the bottom level.....

You could run at the upper mark if you want , but they designed it to add an extra quart and lower the oil level from the crank (see the statement from them quoted above)Their product is for roadracing, when they set it up, they decided that for turning corners, the oil level needs to be lower.

(me with my Z : http://fr.youtube.com/profile?user=g...10&view=videos)
