Default Affordable final drive gears?

Does anyone make a more reasonably priced final drive ring and pinion set? I have seen the 350Evo ones but they are like $1,200. That seems ridiculous to me when Summit is selling domestic ring and pinion sets for $500 or less. I wouldn't mind having a slightly higher final drive but I can't justify $1,200 for it. Anyone got any other options on this or are 350Evo and Central20 taking advantage of their exclusivity on these items?

Those prices are based on number of units sold. Summit will sell 1000 domestic untis per Nissan unit. So obviously the prices are cheaper. The domestic performance market (I dont mean cavaliers) is 100x the size of the import one so with so few parts sold we are lucky they are only 1200 bux in reality. You may find the cheaper, but comparing to one for a 9" Ford rear end is pretty pointless.

Awesome prices ^^^. Thank you!!!!

I saw the Central 20 somewhere and it was like $1200. That's ricockulous since it's available for $500.

Final question: Would installing this require a reflash?

Central 20 used to be $499 till latter half of last year - the poor yen to dollar and increased shipping costs have now pushed that up a couple hundred unfortunately. Same goes for the 3.7, and 4.083. If you find someone selling any of those ring and pinions for any of those prices on the websites. let me know...I'll buy every single one they have immediately

Last year this time they were considerably cheaper and unless someone has them still in stock from way back then, getting 'em for those prices is impossible. Nissan raised costs by about 25% late last fall on all their outsourced metal parts (ring and pinion, exhausts, and many other things)....the world economy stinks

hit up all the links I posted - those are the prices that were listed when I posted... I suppose they could be "out of stock" - but I dont think they can list one price, then sell for another - or can they?

Buy 'em up

I'm familiar with the links

Random pricing on a website does not equal being able to actually sell the item at that price. Maybe they do have stock and were able to purchase them before Nissan and Central 20 raised pricing - only way to know is buy one and see. Or maybe they aren't aware that pricing has gone up because they don't sell many of them in the first place - I have no idea. All I know is we sell a ton of each of them on a very regular basis, so I know our pricing is 100% up to date on those items.

I'm not questioning your pricing knowledge... I'm just suggesting someone should order up a bunch of them while the price is still as listed... When you have a printed receipt that shows the price paid, all they can do is say that don’t have them in stock... but typically the check out feature will say that when the order is placed...

Anyway - there are other options to central 20 (in case they end up costing more than OP is wanting to spend).
