Break-in help!
Regrettably, I know precious little about auto engines. I plan on adding the Nismo cams, headers and CAI to my new Z. It would be nice to have these installed at the dealership before I take delivery. Is this a good idea or should I break the engine in first. Thank you to all who reply...the input is much appreciated.

Don't have the dealer install these parts when you purchase the car. Dealers are selling cars with these parts on them for $6000 to $8000 above sticker. It is a total rip. Get the car and drive. Then decide what you need and have a REPUTABLE, EXPERIENCED shop install them for you if you are not capable. The CAI you could do. The headers are more questionable. I plan to do mine just to see if I can. The cams should be done by a very good shop with Z experience.
Also, many dealers don't have a clue about what they're doing. Let a repautable performance shop install the aftermarket parts. Yes the dealer will be more expensive.
A local dealer here is selling a base Z with the ADR's for an extra $4,000 dollars!!!!! 18's at that!!!
