Default Clutch problems??

So I was driving home today, and did some lousy downshifts from 5th to 4th to 3rd, seemed like 3rd didnt catch real well and it slightly grinded. I slowed down for a second thinking it was okay and continued on. As I was pulling up into my garage I noticed my clutch engagement point got significantly lower than usual to the point where it bothers me. Is something wrong with the clutch? I also get gear grinding in all gears when shifting even with the clutch fully depressed and driving normally. (The gear grinding has been happening since I bought the car though) It is a brand new 08, 2k miles, never pushed it during break in period, synthetic oil change at 1.2k miles, and I've tried to baby it as much as possible when driving. Dealership I guess?

What was the RPM when you down shifted? One thread talked about how a guy did an aggressive launch and his stock clutch was destroyed and had the grinding issue. First step would be to take it back to the dealership though and ask them what the * is up. Good luck with everything.

i was in 5th gear at about.. 2-2.5k RPMs, downshifted to 4th gear which got a grind (wasn't surprised though since it always happens), and then downshifted to 3rd, RPMs never went past 3-3.5k~ felt like the gear didnt get caught? then it made a grinding noise from the outside for like a second

Wow it seems to me like the HR's Z's have more tranny and clutch problems than the older cars. I would take it to the dealer and raise hell.

My 04 has 81k on it and I can slam it into 4th at 100mph from 6th or 5th from any rpm.

Yeah I'll have to take it to the dealership first thing this weekend and I'll get an update to this post. Sigh lol. This clutch problem isn't my only problem either, that stupid tire pressure light is on and I went to the dealership two times for it already. This weekend will be my 3rd
