Default Run tranny cooler or not????

Hey, I got the Edge racing torque converter. From what I've read, its recommended and a lot guys on the forum are running tranny coolers because the TC runs hot. I talked to the Edge racing/manuafacturer who recommended against it. He said that stock cooler is sufficient. He designed it not to overheat. He also stated too much cool air could affect the performance and efficency, therefore not working properly as it should. Thoughts? get one just to be on the safe side?

I have had my tranny cooler for just over 3 years with no issues.I also have the Edgeracing TC. It only kicks the fan on occasionally(when running hard) but I think it is well worth it. I would say Yes...I live in South Florida so it gets pretty hot down here. Let me know if you have any other ?'s

I would also say use the trans cooler as the factory one is very small and is made for use with the stock trans with no mods.

Thanks guys. As I read your comments and more research. I'm going to get the tranny cooler to be on the safe side. Any ideas other than privated classified ads to get one. also, I noticed that not all have the fan as you do...where did you get this type.
