Installation Quaife LSD - need base model stub axles?!
hi!
i live in austria and so i can get the quaife lsd for short money (645 pounds) because there are no customs between england and austria (EU) ...
http://www.quaife.co.uk/Nissan-350Z-...D-differential
so i started a question and len of quaife told me that i have to shorten my driveshafts ... hmmm ... but i read here in the forum, that the driveshafts of the base model with the quaife will fit without any changings ...
and in that way i want to ask, if there is any shop in the US to get a installation kit for the VLSD equipped models (nissan europe is not a alternative because in europe only VLSD equipped models were sold) ...
thank you for your feedback and excuse my bad english ;-)

I assume by "driveshafts" you meant stub axles.
There is a Quaife LSD available specifically for cars that already have a VLSD. Previously, to install the Quaife, you did need to get the non-VLSD axles. Now there are 2 versions depending on what model Z you have. If you get the correct Quaife LSD, there should be no reason why it would not fit

that's not right ... here the text of the email of quaife:
and here is the attachment, that told me to shorten my driveshafts ...
There is a mod required to the drive shafts, see attachment. The ATB unit is just the carrier so the crown wheel needs to be fitted to it.
