From what I have heard, the Greddy tt might actually cost more then the PE TT, so idk what to do anymore, supercharger is really looking like the best path to me, but right now procharger is the only one available, and is overpriced for essentially what it is, I would like to see the price on the comptech when that comes out, but I also have heard that the price of the PE TT and the Greddy will come down pretty substantially when competition and production increases...

Most of the TT kits are going to be more than $6000.

not if there's one from Greddy, PE, HKS, Top Secret, Pros Engineering, Pirm@ru, etc etc and they have to compete for your hard earned money

It's great 350Z is a popular car

I heard from a "reliable source" (hasn't everyone?) that GReddy has pushed the release date from Oct to Dec and the base kit will retail for about $5500.

By the way, does anyone know what problems they are having with the kit? Is it the tuning, fueling, rods, pistons, sleeves??? Inquiring minds want to know. I _WILL_ be running ~20 PSI before it's all said and done.

If I am not mistaken our stock blocks can't handle much more then 450rwhp. So there will be no way to run 20psi on stock internals. As for the greddy kit I heard they are planning on releasing it at the sema show in November

I doubt our stock internals can stand 450whp for long.

Oh our Blocks will take quite abit more than 450hp.

Internals well it's all speculation at this point. And alot of Rumors.
But lets put it this way
Daily driven maxima's with the VQ30 are running 456 hp and 456 ft lbs of torque all the time and they run fine.
I bet we could run upwards of 500hp before needing to change internals. Just getting it TUNED right is the secret.

I wish I could agree with you man but like I said 450rwhp on stock internals would be the max. the rods our weakest point in the engine from what i understand. As for your 450hp maxima's I would ask them for a dyno slip. they are toying with you.

450rwhp is about correct thats about were top secret is at, they were breaking rods so I think thats the most they could have got from the stock internals

Well your wish has been granted, there are maximas with over 400 fwhp , that race and daily drive, that have done that for quite a while on stock longblock. Go to maxima org and look up mardigrasmax all the proof will be found .

krismax:

thats a forum like this one. It still doesn't show me dyno sheets. I can sit here and tell you all day that my car can run 450,500,550whp and it may for about a week or so. But imo there is no way a maxima will last longer then a year with 400+ and our cars about 450. Its a part of life.

He didnt say he was going to try it on stock internals... I am sure he will build the bottom end if he wants to push 20Psi.

The biggest reason imo that the japanese turbo kits wont work on our cars is because the steering rack. See they design the kit to fit with steering rack on our passenger side. When they try to fit it on the US car it wont clear. So they have to redesign the kit. For example, The Top Secret kit is a single turbo and it the turbo sits on our driver side or their passenger side. If we tried to sintall the TS kit the turbo would not clear the steering rack. So in order for TS to release their kit for the US market, they would have to compeletly redesign the kit with the turbo on the other side of the motor.
