Post your top speeds!!! Street/High or Track..Inquiring minds what to know

Oh yeah, 155. No mods.

Mid-day driving down Bob's Road or something looking for a civil war memorial for a project and came across a massive freshly paved blacktop straight stretch that stretched for about 4 miles. Got up to 143mph and turned my girl into a nympho so had to stop and pull over. I think she went faster than the car...I will try to get a pic of that next time :P

and hold your foot to the floor and have a long road it can be done! I think it will go faster I ran out of road.

Your passenger had a pretty steady hand at 152 mph. So in 6th gear at 5800 rpm it goes 152 mph. The redline is 6600 rpm. I know that road speed won't be proportional to engine speed, what with wind resistance and all, but that would seem to mean that top speed (without the speed governor but keeping the rev limiter) should be about 173 mph. Even more with rev limiter raised to 7100 like some ECUs do. Wow.

Hey Guys
156MPH on the I-5 on the way to S.F., and it was rev-limited. That was before my ECU update, now I that I do not have a speed governor, the car WILL do ~174-178MPH.

A Suzuki Haybusa. It is 1300 (1298) CCs of madness. The bike is governed to 186 but you can bypass the sensor and get to 201 with a stock setup.
The most I have heard a stock Hayabusa reach is 209 Mph.
A good turbo setup, like NLR Sytems package, can get you to 240 Mph. Sounds unbelievable but true. The land speed record on two wheels is on a Busa with Turbo setup. Saw it on the Discovery Channel about a month ago.

that why it was blury
Actually, road speed WILL be proportional to engine speed, because the engine is mechanically-linked to the rear wheels. When I first got into cars, I misunderstood that, and thought changing camshafts would increase top speed, without affecting engine rpm. But the aerodynamic drag will probably keep the Z from reaching rev limit in top gear, with a stock engine.
156 - Outside of Miles City, Montana on some backroad by a small airport...paved and smooth, but definitely backroad.
Montana (away from the highways) is the best place to speed. Hands down.
