154 on the digital on HWY-45 in Mississippi, ran out of visible road, cops around here don't like people that don't talk with a drawl.
I was convincing a buddy to buy a Z... needless to say he was sold after the demo... Brakes work great at all speeds (Brembo)

What did those Brembo brakes cost you start to finish?

brembo cost? they come with the track model.... that is, im going on the assumption that when dingo155 has SB Track, he means he has a track model... also... dingo155... the 8500, worth its weight in gold, don't you think? and its a damm heavy **** too!!!

I am gonna go out on a limb and say either us (Schuitemaker Motorsports 350Z) or the other team will be able to hit the new record at Daytona in two weeks.
Last time we were there....we had a stock ECU, different exhaust
short headers and stock flywheel and clutch. Pretty much stock.
Its the only track we use 6th gear at....well see

yeah, i have the track model, hence the brembos... and yes the 8500 is worth MORE than its weight in gold. It has saved me more than a few times. It is great now that is hardmounted ($3 in parts at Lowes!!)

I hit 142 rite before I flew up behind a cop who I think I scared the **** out of cause he slammed on the brakes and followed me for awhile but didnt pull me over. Im curious, will the manual hit higher speeds than the automatic? oh and this was done in New jersey on the GSP on the way back from Atlantic City

Hit 154 fairly easily on a slight slope before letting off because of approaching traffic, I have this on video from 125 -154.

A also hit 150 with ease before letting off another occasion until I had to let off before my little brother needed a change of underware.

146 another time. All on Rt. 95

Default 156 mph

156 mph on San Mateo Bridge (Highway 92) going to San Mateo at 12:30 AM on Sunday.

Pretty scarry...had to slow down due to rapidly approaching cars in front of me...did not want to change lanes at such speed.

I had only done about 140 and refrained from posting because obviously couldnt hang with the big dogs.

LAst night though I was doing 90 on the freeway. I went by a black civic who must of thought I wanted to race. I just wanted to get home quick! The sucker gunned and buzzed me doing 120. OH MY GOD, the dreaded "Rice Flyby! I'm not normally reckless, so no flames please! but there was noone else on the freeways and with SD on fire the cops had better things to do. I passed the Civic at 150 and change. No challenge but man it was fun. Car still had plenty of pull left too!

Default Speed vs. RPM

Rad picture above. I had a '70 Chevelle SS396, same color scheme, cowl induction, and a red bench seat back in the day. Funny to look at it next to the Z!

OH, and by the way, in a car with a manual transmission there is a direct mechanical connection between the crankshaft and the rear wheels. Any given RPM in a certain gear corresponds to an exact speed regardless of ANYTHING. I can argue this point all day if you wish.

Going downhill you will be using less throttle and thus less fuel to get there, but the speed vs. RPM is the same.
