So, I've been watching my oil pressure gauge recently and at least to me it looks weird. THe car has 35k miles on it, yes it's a rev up, the oil level looks good as far as I can tell.

Is the sudden drop off in pressure odd or is it just me?

 

Very unique. Oil pressure increases with RPM (as it should) then falls BEFORE you shift.

 

David, that is odd... Are you hearing any squealing? The pump could be going...

What was that whirring noise in the video?

No squealing. I'm going to check the oil level again tomorrow.

The whirring noise is just the wind, video was taken with my iphone. The motor actually idles/revs/sounds very clean and stable - it's been well taken care of and maintained.

I think I may have to take this into the dealership and have them check it.
