Default 350z idle

Hi guys,
some time ago i was working on the engine of my z. When I put everything back together and fired the engine I noticed that when I am in gear and rev the idle at first goes to 1400 rev for a second or two and only then it goes to the normal 1000. I can't remember if it use to do it before as whell or not.
Is it normal???

tnx

Hmm...my idle is about 700 or 800 RPMs...Sometimes when I rev it a bit, it hits like 1200 pauses for a second then continues down. So yeah I think it is pretty normal. Could be that the RPM needle needs some oil. Happened to a buddy where the needle would get stuck and actually froze at one point.

Isn't 1000 RPM higher than "normal"?

my idle has been bumped 200rpm over stock and idles at 900. 1000 is high.

The idle is computer controlled. If it's high, check for any vacuum leaks.
