Default OK so I bought a STG 2 Competion Clutch

So I bought A(competition Clutch) STAGE 2 clutch, light flywheel, Bearing and got it installed at a local shop.

Once i recieved my car back I immediatley felt the change.

It was like driving a different car the feeling was
incredible.

I was anxious to test it out but sadley I had to wait for the Break in Period which is 1200 Miles.

The clutch reached its break in PERIOD coming back from Ocean city MD beleive me it felt good.

I did a few sprints here and there. (NO I Do Not Drive It like I stole IT all the time)

A thousand miles later it all changed IDK what is wrong with my clutch.

Side Effects
* clutch does not engage in to gear after a few stops it feels like it gets stuck.
* When i turn the car off and turn it back on it slips in to gears just fine.
* It rattles a bit in First gear from 1200 to 3000 RPM But Ive read so many threads that says its normal.

Do i have a clutch and flywheel that was not properly Installed?

Can some one help me figure this out i will greatly appreciate it.

Did you install a new throwout bearing with the install? Sounds like more of a hydraulic issue.....perhaps slave cylinder.

You should mention that Competition Clutch is a brand. I believe you have the series 2100 above.

Keep in mind that you have given up the OEM dual disk flywheel. It will not have the OEM feel. NOTE: Engagement point may have changed. Return for an adjustment.

Sounds like an issue with the pedal. How does the pedal feel? May need an adjustment and/or the clutch hydrolic system bled.

So i went to the mechanic today and he told me it could possibly be the hydrolic system.

IMO I think it wasnt installed properly because after a one stop while driving it.

When attempting to put it in gear I hear a "bump" from under the car were the transmission is.

Not so sure but decided to take it to Elite importz so they could check it out.

I'l update when I drop it off

I also have a competition stage 2 and I wont recommend this for FI application. It just dont think it grab hard enough and it doesn't hold up in Drag or clutch slipping. The noise you hear below below 2500rpm is the Flywheel, this is normal especially when you switch to a lighter one. After a few trip to the strip (Drag), my car doesn't go into gear on temp below 50F(especially reverse and 1st gear). I have to let the car warm up for 3 mins and keep pumping th clutch to get it work.

I don't think this has been asked, but what year is the car?

Stage 2 should not be used with FI. Stage 4 is recommended for FI.

My car is an 03 and not FI.

So i took my car in today in the morning to a well known shop around my area.

later recieved a phone call telling me that they droped the transmission took the clutch n flywheel cleaned it reinstalled it and fill it up with new tranny fluid.

The SAD part is the technician told me it still wont go in to first gear first try but eventullay goes in to gear.

He also told me it couldnt be the hydrolic issue cause there was still preassure.

The WORST part was that he told me i might need a new Transmission. hmmmm

GOOD
It shifts smoother then before.

If i play with the shifter while holding the clutch in it eventually gets in to gear.(not as bad as before)

BAD
It still wont go into gear first try but like i said it eventually gets in with out starting the car again.

They found hot spots on flywheel and clutch

possible bent shift linkage or bad transmission
