Exclamation Help!!!!

After I installed the grounding kit, this is what I noticed. Does anyone have any clue how to get it to display correctly or do I have to take it back to the dealer? If I do take it back, will they fix it or reject to fix it since I have after market mod installed?

thanks.,

Tom.

Have you reset it and driven around? Since you disconnected the battery and restarted the car without putting miles on it, the gas mileage will read very low since you are using gas but not going any miles. Drive it!

It's actually just because your new grounding wires are adding so much horsepower that the additional fuel consumption is obviouslly more than you were expecting.

Mr. Potato Head: After I installed the grounding kit, I've been driven for almost 2 weeks.

eskimo: This can't be truth because I have several friends who had grounding kit installed as well and theirs display at about 22 - 23 mpg

about mine, it display some where from .9 - 1.2 mpg

of the two buttons on the dash that control the display....hold the bottom one in for a few seconds until it goes blank. it will then start recalculating from that momemt forward.

Hmm. Even after two weeks it should have started to refigure itself. As all bark says, have you ever reset it?

I almost never reset my computer, and I've found that after a certain amount of mileage (somewhere between 6500 and 7000) it will go to 0.0 MPG. Maybe your's just happened to flip at the same time you put in the grounding kit?

If you have never reset the gauge before, and if you are somewhere in that neighborhood of mileage, then it might be worth a shot to just reset the meter.
