Hi guys. I've got a guy selling a virtually new nismo LSD but i've got a few questions.
1. Its a GT LSD Pro, which from my understanding are 1.5 way upgradable to 2 way. He is telling me that it came from factory already as a 2 way. Could someone confirm that you can order them as a 2 way straight from nismo? The serial number is 38420-RSZ15-4U
2. I know that the diff came with it's own oil, but it doesn't have it. What oil weight does the nismo LSD use?
3. How are you supposed to adjust the diff. I know there is an adjustment bolt on the drivers side of the diff, but we were trying to play with it a bit but couldn't figure it out. The diff hasn't got any instructions.
Thanks guys!

Yes, i have searched, and i've read the whole six threads about it. Nothing there.
I've figured out the adjustment issue, but i still need to know the oil weight and the 1.5 way and 2 way issue.
Please help!!!

Could someone confirm that you can order them as a 2 way straight from nismo? The serial number is 38420-RSZ15-4U The units come from Nismo as a 1.5 way. You can restack the diff to make it a 2 way though.
2. I know that the diff came with it's own oil, but it doesn't have it. What oil weight does the nismo LSD use? Motul 90PA works very well to tame some of the popping and clunking that this diff is known for.
3. How are you supposed to adjust the diff. I know there is an adjustment bolt on the drivers side of the diff, but we were trying to play with it a bit but couldn't figure it out. The diff hasn't got any instructions. The side adjustment bolt has 3 positions. 60, 80, and 100 percent lockup settings. When you switch to each position when it is installed in the car will feel like the click that a torque wrench makes. You just turn the adjuster until you feel it pop then that is the next position. They come set at 60.

The initial torque (break away torque) is a pre-load torque on a LSD. Up to that torque load, the LSD locks the differential even without any rotational difference between the wheels. The initial torque and the cam angle on the cam rings determine the responsiveness of the LSD on the driver's steering and throttle inputs. The higher the initial torque and the higher the cam angle, the more responsive an LSD becomes. However, too much initial torque makes a vehicle extremely hard to turn and very high cam angle affect the vehicle's smoothness. A good performance LSD achieves an excellent balance of those two important factors.
I posted my DIY install of my Nismo LSD here, shows lots of pictures and how the adjustments are done:
