Mine is not that bad. Its pretty quiet i can just hear it and my dad was saying i may need to get my valves adjusted. Just thought i read somewhere that it was normal for a little chatter i dunno though.

I noticed this on my Z the other day when I was washing it. I even opened the hood to listen. My car is an oil burner, but I check and add oil regularly. My oil is at an oil change interval and it was a cold day. I am paranoid that my motor is damaged or is breaking down because of the consumption, and I cant remember it there before. But it wasnt excessively loud. Very quiet. I couldn't hear it in the car at all, but I have full exhaust and a noisy flywheel. It was a faint ticking.
I think this is normal to an extent, but could be a sign of valve train wear.
