Just changed my oil this weekend. Been on Mobil 1 since new, Made the switch to Castrol Sytec Blend. I guess this way I get the best of both oil worlds.
For some reason now after the oil change the Tick doesnt seem quite as loud. I went to a G/Z car show and listened to a bunch of VQ's and they all had the same tick coming from the drivers side wheel well. I also talked to the local Nissan Master Tech and he said that they all make that noise. Its just more noticeable after header/testpipe install.

I cant tell in the car due to the drone even at idle. Mainly just from behind the drivers side wheel. When your driving against a wall you can really hear it.
I will try and listen behind dash though.

You have a Valve Tick. If it gets louder with your RPMs then its deff a Valve Tick. You need a valve adjustment. You just need to find out which valve it is, most likely its one of the exhaust valves.

Best way to find out which valve it is you need a screw driver and 1 other person. Tell your friend to rev the engine and before he does you have to put the screwdriver on one of the valves, I suggest you put your ear or your cheeck agaisnt the rubber part of the screwdriver. If you feel the vibration from the tick you have found the valve!!! Its a simple fix but if you dont know what your doing leave it at the shop because the engine needs to be cool before they open her up.

Bad news Gizloc, on the VQ, there is nothing easy about the valve work. A simple adjustment will cost you anywhere from $25 - $600 for parts alone. Unlike most the simple older designs the VQ rarely "falls" out of adjustment. It uses sized cam followers ($25 each) to adjust the height of the valve, so unless the valve builds up residue or gets additional play through seat wear the ticking people hear is not likely due to the valves. Also it seems more and more manufacters are going to this design that increases service cost and decreases servicing intervals. Also labor on this item can't be less than 6 hours because the head basically is taken off (minus the actually unbolting of the head).
