Default Bad carbon buildup

My 03 G35 has a pretty bad carbon buildup on the exhaust tips after i installed my test pipes. With cats, they turn the carbon and sh** into liquid and doesnt cause the bad carbon buildup which is one main reason for cats other than environment friendly. Well it pretty bad and carbon buildup in the engine is caused by unignited/unused fuel and i know higher octane helps with that. But anyways i havent noticed if i had any blue smoke or black smoke coming out the rear and noone has told me so im assuming it doesnt but...after i clean the tips i have to clean them again because they are dirty again a few days later. They stay polished for a day then they start turning black. I dont think its normal for my year car to produce so much carbon. Could an oil leak small enough to cause, my oil level to go down 2 quarts every one or two thousand miles, and not produce blue smoke but help build carbon in my engine and then leading to my exhaust? Tell me what you all think.... what could cause my exhaust tips to get carbon on them more than i think testpipes would cause? All input is appreciated and sorry if i confused you.....

There are only two things you can burn inside the motor that should not: oil and coolant. Sounds like you are burning oil. In fact 1 quart every 1,000 miles.

Keep in mind oil consumption cannot get better - only worse.

you have test pipes - its something you'll have to either get used to, or go back to cats

if your car is burning 2 quarts of oil in 1-2 thousand miles, your exhaust tips are the least of your problems unfortunately, and it would be a good time to look into buying another engine, or rebuilding yours

Yikes2 quarts every 1-2k? That's really bad. Time to build my friend. Look at it this way it's a good enough excuse for FI.

well now that im thinking about it.........its been 4,000 miles or so since my last oil change and ive added 3 quarts.......well i do have a slight oil leak from my oil pan drain plug. The crush washer is in pieces and every time i tighten it nothing gets better.lol.ive actually been looking at getting a V2 with a bunch of other things but now that im seeing how bad my consumtion is i should probably get a built engine instead....i really wanted that SC too with the UTEC and RFS and all the other things i been loathing about....well the best built engines i think ive found are from Import Parts Pro. Ive looked at Z1 and i think one other place...AA? Well if there are any suggestions with a great engine build then let me know.

You can go with a used low mileage motor or a reconditioned motor. Check your regional forum recommendations.

oFr the record, we do not sell prebuilt engines - we can set you up with the parts themselves, but we won't sell a prebuilt engine unless it's from Nissan or Cosworth

If you've got leaks, the most important thing to do first is figure out where exactly they are coming fro - you would be surprised how much can be lost if the oil isn't staying inside where it belongs! The oil pans on these cars are multipiece units, and it's not uncommon to have multiple leaks that all mask themselves as being filter/dran plug related, as the oil runs down the block. I'd suggest getting the car to a competant shop, have them give it a once over, and you may find that things aren't so bad. Worst case, it will confirm that the engine is in fact in need of a rebuild, but at least you'll know first hand
