Oil Cool Install

Oil Cooler Install
I bought a Mishimoto Oil Cooler and have a question on the install. Can anyone tell me if the adapter sandwich goes on top of the stock warmer/cooler or replaces it? I've seen it done either way, but what is the right way?

i am going to and i suggest keeping the stock oil warmer unless you live in a really hot climate.
I haven't added my oil cooler on yet since my temps have stayed down around 180. The thermostat in the adapter i have doesn't open up until 180 for the oil cooler so it woudln't do very much good yet. Now that i have a built motor i'm sure i'll be adding it to the car soon.

i purchased a sandwich plate with thermostat in it, bought a generic trans cooler (can't even remember the name) and had the lines made at a local hydraulic shop.
